Wish List: Feeding Time (New York Puzzle Company, 1000pc)
The reason this puzzle is on the list is not that I need to remind myself to order it (it's actually already in my inventory), nor is it about the chickens (really though, they do make the puzzle), but that I would love to see it available in a larger size, say 3000 pieces or more.
But then again, maybe I'll change my mind after working through that green background. Let's see!
Available from Amazon for $11.95 or direct from NYPC for $19.95 (based on prices listed at time of publishing).

Wish List: L'Enoteca (Clementoni, 2000pc)
Image via Amazon |
As a part of the "High Quality Collection" from Clementoni, this puzzle is described as having a "perfect fit" and "almost invisible joints". Step aside, fully interlocking puzzles. Let's see what the fuss is about.
What I'm most curious to know: can the finished puzzle be displayed without being recognized as a jigsaw puzzle? We'll see, maybe.

Coming Soon: Lavender Fields (Trefl, 1000pc)
Image via Amazon |
This next puzzle is one I received as a gift from a family member, who purchased it from the Eslite chain of bookstores in Taipei. The stores carry a pretty decent collection of jigsaw puzzles from all over the world, and it's worth a visit if ever you come across one.
It will be my first time working on a jigsaw by Polish-based manufacturer Trefl, and I'm excited to see how it compares to Castorland, one of my all-time favorite brands, also based in Poland.
At time of posting, in stock and available at Amazon and Puzzle Warehouse.

'Tis the season for jigsaw puzzles
It's been winter for 2 weeks, and the puzzling season is off to a strong start so far.
Over the holidays, before/during/after the cookie and toffee breaks, I had a chance to work on a few 1000 piecers from brands I've been meaning to try: New York Puzzle Company and Galison.
From NYPC, I worked on News Stand (and had to catch a flight before finishing it; hence, the stock photo).
From Galison, I worked on Ocean Life, which I also left unfinished...
...as well as Avian Friends, one I actually completed (partial snapshot below).

Wish List: Shelf Life (Ravensburger, 18000pc) *UPDATED*
Image via colinthompson.com |
As you may know, I've given up on working on any giant puzzles for the time being.
Nevertheless, it brings me great joy to see Ravensburger continue expanding its collection of (jumbo!) puzzles based off illustrator Colin Thompson's artwork. The latest offering is an 18K challenge and, as always, chock full of fun and whimsical detail. The completed puzzle measures over 9 feet wide and 6 feet tall.
At the time of posting, the puzzle appears in the Ravensburger UK catalog but does not appear to be available for sale yet. Based on Thompson's website, it looks like it will hit the markets by year end, which gives us all a bit of time to prep for this marathon of a puzzle.
UPDATE 12/12/17: Available for purchase direct from the Ravensburger US website.
