Analysis

Looking for a challenge? Take a stab at the 1000 piece version of The Great Wave from Tomax's "miniature" puzzle collection, which also includes the Tower of Babel.

This puzzle is one of the most difficult I've completed in awhile. The struggle is real and lasts, at least it did for me, all the way through to the very last piece. The wave itself is a tricky enough on its own, but the beige sky is just on a whole other level.

Puzzle quality is good - precise cuts, no stuck pieces, no peeling, and minimal puzzle dust. The pieces have a snug fit, but it's the traditional ribbon cut, so at times the pieces will look like they fit together when in reality they don't. It's not an issue when working with parts of the puzzle that have color variation, but as soon as you reach those monochrome areas (looking at you, sky), it becomes a near guessing game at times.

Definitely a tough one.
